Volume 3 - Chapter 415: A Drop of Divine Blood, Defying a Heavenly Lord’s Will (Part 4)
Countless dazzling sword intents flooded Li Hao’s mind. In an instant, it was as if he had practiced the sword for ten thousand years. Countless exquisite sword techniques were executed endlessly by his body, and the profound mysteries of the sword path unfolded before him without concealment, laid bare in utter clarity.
Sword Dao—Twelve Segments!
That surging sword intent poured into his Dao Domain, into his consciousness, and into his very body.
His entire presence shifted.
The aura surrounding him was no longer the same. Something fundamental had changed.
Everyone outside the arena noticed. The patriarchs of the major clans all widened their eyes. Even Su Zhenyuan and the others revealed looks of astonishment.
A breakthrough in the heat of battle?
At this critical juncture, the youth had broken through to a whole new realm in his Sword Dao?
Such feats weren’t unheard of—but at these levels of cultivation, breakthroughs like this were exceedingly rare.
Now, Li Hao raised his sword once again. Behind him, his Heaven and Earth Dharma Manifestation appeared. Behind that, the myriad Saints he had condensed in the False Realm of Catastrophe emerged in unison.
As he lifted Taotie, those Dharmic forms—including the myriad Saints—each brandished a sword of their own.
Over a hundred blades pointed in a single direction.
“Slash!”
Li Hao swung his sword again. Still the Sovereign Sword Dao. Still a peak, ultimate strike.
Sword Dao, Twelve Segments. The True Meaning of the Sword. The Laws of the Sword Path!
Outside the Nine Orders, the myriad Dao laws coiled together, converging into a single law—Sword Dao Law.
These laws condensed like chains, emitting an unimaginably terrifying aura.
Hei Ji’s expression shifted. A cold glint flashed in her eyes. She raised her hand, unleashing black smoke-like power with her Immortal force. Alongside the Laws of Eternal Night, she revealed six layers of Ninth-Order origin realms, all fused together into the Law of Absolute Darkness.
“Annihilation!”
She raised her hand. Laws surged outward, all six of her origin realms bursting forth with terrifying power—clearly stronger than Li Hao’s.
With his recent breakthrough in Chess Dao, Li Hao’s mastery over Time reached the pinnacle of the fifth origin realm, still one step short of the sixth.
Space origin was the same.
Boom!
As sword energy clashed with the Annihilation Law, it felt like it was slashing into an endless ocean—boundless and infinite.
Li Hao’s eyes widened. Immortal force exploded from his body.
“Break!!”
Boom!
The Annihilation Law shattered. Sword energy tore through the void and slashed across Hei Ji’s body, splitting open a wound!
Earlier, when Lin Zhexuan had fought her, his divine weapons and Immortal treasures had been destroyed. As a result, Hei Ji could now only rely on her true strength in this fight against Li Hao.
Li Hao’s one advantage? The Taotie Immortal Weapon.
“Hmm?”
Hei Ji was wounded—but the injury began to heal instantly. Still, her face changed.
Outside the arena, the crowd was dumbfounded. Li Hao had actually managed to injure Hei Ji?
They were separated by seven full cultivation realms, and he still inflicted damage?
Granted, for someone with regenerative abilities like hers, such a wound was barely a scratch—easily healed in an instant. And with her mastery over the Celestial Meridian of All Heavens, her Immortal force was virtually inexhaustible. The wound meant little.
But the fact that he could hurt her at all spoke volumes. That sword strike was unimaginably powerful.
Li Hao’s Time and Space origins might only be at the peak of the fifth realm, and others at the fourth—but his Sword Dao stood at the sixth realm!
His physical Dao was also at the sixth origin level.
With a sixth-order Sword Dao fused into myriad Dao origins, and his Sovereign Sword technique unleashed, the mutated sword law directly pierced through Annihilation and even carved through Eternal Night—finally wounding Hei Ji.
“His swordplay…”
Su Muqing stared, stunned. That sword strike rivaled her own at full strength.
This was the same youth she had once scorned and despised?
“Your attack?”
Hei Ji frowned. The wound was healing, but a deep pain lingered—it reached her very soul.
The previous strike had damaged her divine soul!
And within it… the power in his Immortal force—far beyond ordinary liquid-state Immortal energy—was fused with something unusual!
A century-old soul lifespan… how had he achieved this?
Thoughts tumbled in Hei Ji’s mind. Her gaze turned grim—then killing intent surged.
This human youth was far too dangerous.
He could not be allowed to live.
“Eternal Night Absolute Darkness—Die!”
Hei Ji struck. No more restraint. In an instant, her origin realm laws surged to the seventh level!
When she fought Lin Zhexuan, they had both revealed seventh-order origin realms. Li Hao’s twelve-segment Sword Dao still stood at the sixth.
Dark fog roiled. The heavens and earth dimmed. The entire Demon Ancestor’s arena was swallowed in blackness.
A tide of malevolence surged toward Li Hao.
Recognizing the same move that had defeated Lin Zhexuan, his gaze turned razor-sharp.
Immortal force erupted. He twisted time and space around him and slashed a thousand times in the span of a breath.
Every sword strike was absolute—drawing on the last of his Immortal force.
Hundreds of overlapping strikes crashed down on Hei Ji. But most were devoured by the darkness—only the final few dozen reached her.
She raised her hand to block one.
Her physique was sixth-order in the origin realm—her Immortal body was elite—but even so, she was injured.
And as the wound appeared—her divine soul was wracked with searing pain.
Her expression changed from cold to furious. It hadn’t been a fluke. His attacks truly could harm her soul!
What was this bizarre Immortal force?
She waved her hand. The surrounding black fog surged, crushing the remnants of sword energy.
Then, within the darkness, a massive black hand extended—slamming down on Li Hao.
Boom!
He was hurled into a distant mountainside. Bones cracked all over his body.
His Immortal body, tempered through Chess Dao, had advanced beyond Celestial Physique. His soul and flesh were now fused into a true Heaven-Earth Immortal Body. Even that body was injured.
His prior Celestial Physique could withstand attacks from the seventh or even eighth stages of the Immortal Lord Realm.
This Heaven-Earth Immortal Body, fused with his divine soul, should have been impervious even to perfect-stage Immortal Lords.
Li Hao was stunned.
But thankfully, the injuries weren’t fatal. They healed quickly.
He burst from the shattered rubble.
Hei Ji’s face finally changed. Her pupils contracted—astonishment flickering in her eyes for the first time.
That strike hadn’t been her absolute limit—but it was close. And it hadn’t killed the boy?
What was his body made of?
He should’ve been crushed!
Seeing Li Hao charge forward once more, sword raised, her face darkened. She lifted her hand again. Within the darkness, four or five massive palms condensed and slammed down like mountains.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Li Hao’s sword slashes shattered one after another, unable to contend with the dark palms. He was flattened into the arena’s earth.
The five destructive palm prints pinned him down. His bones felt like they’d been shattered. His body felt like it had come apart. The pain was excruciating.
But though he was bloodied and mangled—he wasn’t annihilated.
As Immortal force surged through him, his body healed once again. He soared into the sky and charged at Hei Ji.
Seeing this, her fury and disbelief reached their peak.
He was like a damned stone—unreasonably hard!
With a wave, she gathered the surrounding darkness. Like a whale drinking the sea, she drew all of it into her palm.
Their forms were revealed.
Her true form manifested. Her aura surged, even more terrifying than before.
The concentrated darkness swirled in her palm, forming a pitch-black, spinning sphere—emanating the power of collapse. It hurtled toward Li Hao.
Outside the arena, the sudden clarity of the battle shocked the crowd. They saw that Li Hao was still alive—and everyone sighed in relief.
Then they sensed the collapsing dark energy—its terrifying aura contained seventh-level origin laws and vast Immortal force.
“Not good!”
Su Muqing’s pupils shrank. Her face turned pale. Even she couldn’t block that power.
The others all panicked, shouting urgently. If Li Hao could surrender in time, he might still be saved!
Su Zhenyuan and Jiang Qiuyu stood poised. The moment Li Hao spoke to concede, they would shatter the sealing formation and charge in.
But as the attack approached—grinding through space and carving a void-black path—Li Hao didn’t retreat.
Instead, his divine soul soared above his head.
Man and soul as one!
His soul bore 1,100 divine soul golden bones—resplendent as golden crystal, shining across the Demon Ancestor’s ancient arena and illuminating the 36,000 Immortal Cities of Gusu.
Not only were Su Zhenyuan and the others stunned—even the purple-robed middle-aged man and the surrounding demons were horrified.
Su Muqing and Su Wanqing stood frozen.
Even Lin Zhexuan, who had watched coldly all this time, stood paralyzed—his pupils shrinking under that radiant glow.
One thousand one hundred divine soul golden bones—like a golden armor that completely sheathed Li Hao’s divine soul.
And as the world watched, those golden bones all ignited—
Burning the soul!
Not just one or two—all of them!
The fire that erupted was immense—magnificent.
A golden blaze so radiant it seemed capable of incinerating the entire world.
Reflected in every eye, it told of the youth’s unshakable resolve—and his boundless killing intent.
“You…”
