Volume 3 - Chapter 396: Law of the Flesh (Part 3)
Wu Ma’s expression changed, and she quickly moved to stop him.
Without looking back, Li Hao said, “I know what I’m doing.”
Wu Ma was dumbfounded. You know what you're doing? Problem is, I don’t even know you!
She turned to Yaoqin and sent a quick voice transmission. “Miss Yaoqin, who exactly is that boy? He said he holds equal status with the young miss—is that true?”
Yaoqin was briefly stunned, watching as Li Hao stuck to Su Muqing like a patch of tenacious glue. Hearing the question, she recovered and nodded.
“Yes. It was the Patriarch’s personal decree.”
“This...” Wu Ma stood there in disbelief. Before she could press for more, Yaoqin vanished via teleportation.
Inside the room, Su Muqing’s face changed again when she saw Li Hao enter.
“What, are you planning to watch me sleep and bathe too?”
“If I could, that would be ideal.”
Li Hao’s tone was calm.
“…Get out!”
Su Muqing’s face flushed—not from shyness, but from rage.
Li Hao said, “A hundred years may pass quickly, but counting day by day, it’s still a long time. Why not get along peacefully?”
“Hah. I feel sick just looking at you.”
Su Muqing sneered mercilessly.
Li Hao said nothing.
Seeing that he wouldn’t leave, Su Muqing took a deep breath. She understood she needed a practical solution. Otherwise, living with this person hovering around for a century would be unbearably inconvenient.
“If you really insist on staying, fine. But you're forbidden from approaching my sleeping quarters. Stay in the courtyard. If you don’t agree, I’ll go to my father right now—even if it means threatening him with my death!”
Her tone was icy.
Li Hao considered it, then nodded. “Alright.”
Seeing that he still had some boundaries, Su Muqing felt slightly relieved. Then she added with a cold sneer, “It’s settled then. Just so you know, every time I see you, I feel nothing but disgust.”
Li Hao gave no response. He had already accepted that the girl before him was not the one he sought. He was merely guarding her physical form—and the soul that had yet to awaken.
“Hmph!”
Su Muqing gave a final cold snort and turned away.
“My sleeping quarters are right behind this main hall. Kindly leave now.”
Li Hao paused for a moment, then walked out.
The palace doors slammed shut behind him, seemingly as a release of pent-up fury.
Not far away, Wu Ma caught up, ready to speak. But Li Hao glanced at the tightly shut doors and asked first, “Are you the steward here?”
“I am… may I ask, Young Master…?”
Wu Ma hesitated, unsure of this youth’s identity.
“Please have the side chamber cleaned. I’ll be staying here.”
Li Hao spoke matter-of-factly.
Wu Ma froze, then glanced at the shut hall. She hesitated.
Li Hao gave her a look, but when he saw she was unwilling to move, he said no more. Instead, he retrieved a segment of divine tree trunk from his spatial realm and sat down directly in front of the hall. With immortal energy at his fingertips, he began carving on the spot.
Soon, he had sculpted two chairs and a small table.
The nearby servants and maids stared, bewildered, unsure what to make of this strange behavior.
Wu Ma decided to go ask Su Muqing directly and dismissed the other attendants for the time being.
Not long after, Wu Ma came back from the sleeping quarters and found that Li Hao had already placed a set of black-and-white stones on the newly carved table. She was startled but said nothing. Instead, she summoned a nearby maid and instructed everyone to avoid the boy and follow the young miss’s orders—ignore him completely.
“That fellow…”
Inside the hall, Su Muqing watched everything through her divine sense. Seeing Li Hao’s persistence only deepened her irritation. She quickly withdrew her awareness and entered the cultivation chamber.
Outside, Li Hao sat in silence, letting his heart gradually settle.
After leaving the Southern Domain, his final breakthrough in Painting Dao had brought him to the twelfth tier. With the true essence of Painting Dao embedded into his Flesh Dao, he had stepped into the Immortal Lord Realm. Yet he hadn’t fully explored the new powers or transformations that came with it.

…Panel overview omitted…
Li Hao’s eyes swept across the panel. Though it had grown lengthy due to the numerous cultivation methods and Daos he practiced, he could still read it at a glance.
Upon entering the Immortal Lord Realm, the most striking change was no longer just sensing the essence of the Dao. Previously, even at profound comprehension levels, most of what he wielded was merely source power—the seed form of the Dao.
Now, as he looked around, he could see the rules shaped by various Great Daos manifesting in his surroundings. These laws were like blossoming branches from the Dao itself—chains weaving through the air.
If the Dao’s source was a seed, then the laws of the Immortal Dao were the branches and leaves.
And using branches in battle was naturally more potent than wielding a seed—unless that seed was forged from iron.
“Law of the Flesh.”
Li Hao’s gaze sharpened as he sensed a primal, savage Dao law swirling around his body.
